Electronic Media and Visual Arts Conference

The EVA conference has become a firmly established international forum for users, supplier and developers of electronic information and communication technologies in the cultural sector. Ambitious digitisation projects with regard to the cultural context, current telecommunication initiatives and new technical opportunities for museums, libraries and archives are presented in Berlin, Florence, London and Moscow.

As part of this network, the EVA event in Berlin is a platform for transnational exchange and European co-operation. With an emphasis on current and technologically advanced projects, the conference with its workshop and accompanying exhibition gives an overview on compelling applications, useful devices and innovative approaches. New potentials of net-based technologies, electronic documentation and digital reproduction are also discussed as methodological and licensing issues. In addition, the discourse between heritage institutions, technology providers and public administration promotes fruitful collaboration.

The EVA Berlin conference on Electronic Media and Art, Culture, History will be held from 5 to 7 November 2014. It will be held at the Kunstgewerbemuseum (Museum of Decorative Arts) at the Kulturforum Potsdamer Platz, Berlin's culture Plaza (Matthäikirchplatz 8, 10785 Berlin).

The programme will include workshops on thematic topics on Wednesday morning and afternoon (5 November 2014). Four different sessions are planned for the next day (6 November 2014), followed by a festive evening reception. Two session in the morning will be offered on the third and last day ( 7 November 2014). There will be an exhibition in parallel to the talks and workshops on Thursday.
