Heritage & Identity: What makes you who you are?

This Debate explores the highly topical issue of heritage and identitywhat makes you who you are – with the help of key speakers Graham Bell Europa Nostra UK Council member and Director of the North of England Civic Trust, Izzy Mohammed from the Library of Birmingham and, from the academic side, Dr Rhiannon Mason, senior lecturer at the University of Newcastle’s International Centre for Cultural Studies.

Now the Scottish referendum is over. This debate will review how heritage contributes to and is used to create identity from a range of different perspectives, European, national and regional, community and individual. The panel will be led by our outstanding Chairman, Dr Loyd Grossman, before the discussion is opened up to the floor.
