The event will be divided into three sessions followed by a wine reception.
Session 1: 16.00 - 17.30
Talk: Photography and the Performativity of Memory - The 'Arab Image Foundation' and Visual Art Practices of the Archive – Rania Gaafar

Session 2: 5.45-6.30 pm
Tarik Sabry and Dina Matar will talk about proposals to publish two issues of the Middle East Journals of Culture and Communication dealing with the topics of art and photography in the Arab world.
Session 3: 6.50-7.30 pm
Keynote talk: Professor Fernando Resende from the Media and Cultural Studies Department at the Arts and Communication Institute, Fluminense Federal University, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
